Godliness with Contentment...

[And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for] godliness accompanied with contentment (that contentment which is a sense of [a]inward sufficiency) is great and abundant gain.

For we brought nothing into the world, and obviously we cannot take anything out of the world;

But if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content (satisfied).

1 Timothy 6:6-8

Contentment is not dependent on the things that we have or do not have. Contentment is a state of the heart wherin we are fully satisfied in the Lord and His goodness.

Content Because of God’s Supply...

And my God will liberally supply ([a]fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:19

Learning to be Content...

I was made very happy in the Lord that now you have revived your interest in my welfare after so long a time; you were indeed thinking of me, but you had no opportunity to show it.

Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be [a] content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.

Philippians 4;10-11

Contentment Found in Jesus...

Jesus replied, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never be hungry, and he who believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me will never thirst any more (at any time).

John 6:35

Contentment Brings Health to the Body...

A calm and undisturbed mind and heart are the life and health of the body, but envy, jealousy, and wrath are like rottenness of the bones.

Proverbs 14:30
