Courage from above...

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

Acts 4:13

When we get close to God we get courage that is from above. Peter and John, unschooled, ordinary men were full of courage because they had been with Jesus.

Take courage...

But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

Matthew 14:27

When we lose sight of God we lose our courage but God is saying, “Look here, I am there with you even in the midst of this storm that you are passing through. So, take courage.”

Courage is a Command...

I’ve commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the LORD your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9

To be courageous is a command. And all commandments are obeyed by faith in God’s word.

Courage comes from God being with us...

Be brave and strong! Don’t be afraid of the nations on the other side of the Jordan. The Lord your God will always be at your side, and he will never abandon you.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Our courage does not come from trusting in the arm of the flesh but in God alone. For it is He who gives us the victory at all times.
